LEVELS OF CERTIFICATION

For Level I, there are two categories of official certifications based on exam results: Assistant Instructor: Requires passing the Final Theoretical Exam (FTE). National Instructor: Requires passing the FTE, completing two practical works (PWs), and passing the Practical Final Exam (PFE). Important: Those who register through FEPACHI (Chilean Padel Federation) or AAP (Uruguayan Padel Association) will receive certifications issued by their respective federations. Participants from other countries will receive certifications issued by Nito Brea Padel.

Requirements

• Must be over 16 years old.
• A mobile phone, tablet, or camera is required to record practical works.
• No entry tests or high playing level are needed to take the course, but those aiming to pass the practical assessments will need sufficient technical and playing skills.
• Access to a basket of balls and a court is necessary to record practical videos. Take into account the court hours you'll need for practice.
• The course covers concepts and techniques. You'll have time afterward to practice and prepare for submitting practical works and the final practical exam.

Program

This level focuses on the sport’s conceptual foundation, learning how to use progressions, and mastering the essential strokes for beginner to intermediate player improvement.

It’s not a basic course; it delves deep into each topic and builds on the methodological system of Nitobreapadel.

The syllabus includes:

Game rules.

History and development of the sport.

General aspects a teaching professional should have.

Teaching methodology and didactics.

Ball basket management and ball feeding.

Stroke techniques

Common mistakes and corrections.

Basic tactical situations and game development.

Evaluation System

The evaluation system has a theoretical part and a practical part.
The theoretical part consists of 8 (eight) partial evaluations (ET) and a final evaluation (ETF).

THEORETICAL EVALUATIONS (ET)
The 8 partial theoretical evaluations are distributed throughout the different modules of the course.
They will help you know which topics you should work on more to better understand and learn them.

FINAL THEORETICAL EVALUATION (ETF)
This is the final exam that includes all course topics and must be taken by everyone without exception to pass the theoretical part. If not approved, you will have only one (1) retake option.

After this opportunity, you will no longer have options to obtain an official certification within the same course.
If you wish to try to obtain the official certification, you will have two (2) options.
- Retake the course.
For this, you will have a price benefit on the course if you wish to enroll before six (6) months have passed from the course expiration date.
- Enroll in the remote exam.
To take them under this modality, you will have up to two (2) years from the course expiration date. After this time, you can only try to obtain a certification by retaking the course (online or in-person).

PRACTICAL WORKS

PW 1
You must record a video on the court showing:
- Ball feeding by hand and using the basket.
This work is quantitative and qualitative.

Quantitative: You must hit a minimum of 40 out of 54 proposed directions.

Qualitative: You must do it taking into account all the concepts seen during the course. This means that not only hitting the minimums in directions will be considered, but also the technique and how you fed the balls.

- Basic ball control exercises with a student.
You must demonstrate complete wall management in parallel and cross-court play, defending volleys and bandejas, as well as net play regarding volleys and bandejas.

PW 2
You must record a video on the court showing:
- Stroke technique. This means feeding yourself balls so that you can correctly demonstrate the technique.
- Movement technique.

All practical works have an explanatory video that shows what you need to present.
You can also download and print the self-evaluation sheets, which are the same ones that will be used to evaluate you. This way, you can prepare to pass them.

Final practical exam
You must send:
• A class with a student in which you must prepare one of the topics proposed by the management.
• A class of 4 students.
The way of working in group classes using rotations, stations, and shadows will be evaluated.

Format

24 modules that include 170 video classes, averaging 10 minutes each.
Approximately a total of 24 hours of videos.

Technical manual. 140 pages with photos and theoretical material for each module. (PDF format for download).

8 theoretical evaluations - (multiple choice or true/false type).

1 final theoretical exam.

Duration

The total duration of the course and the time the platform will be active is 9 (nine) months. After this period, you will no longer have access to the platform and videos. You can finish it in less time depending on your prior knowledge and playing level.
You can start the course whenever you want and from wherever you are, as it is a platform that is always active.

How to take the course

While you will receive the complete course upon enrollment, to get the best results, it is advisable to complete between 4 (four) to 5 (five) modules per month.
A dedication of approximately 5 hours per week is recommended. The ideal is to do it continuously and in an organized manner to watch the videos, study the technical manual, and experiment what you have learned on the court.
The modules and topics are in correlative order. Therefore, it is recommended to respect this order as it will favor a good understanding of them.
Regarding the theoretical evaluations (ET), it is important to complete them in the established order.
It is very important to see what the practical works consist of so you can prepare in advance. You will surely need to take classes or train to be able to pass them.

The online Padel Instructor – Level I course is official for: - FEPACHI (Chilean Padel Federation). - AAP (Uruguayan Padel Association)

These official certifications will be for those who have registered with FEPACHI or AAP and will only receive the certification issued by the Chilean Padel Federation or the Uruguayan association respectively.
Those who have registered from the rest of the world will receive the official Nito Brea Padel certification.

Although the certification is recognized nationally and internationally, it does not mean that it is directly accredited by other national or territorial federations in other countries.

The complete program consists of 3 levels that cover all technical and tactical variants of Padel, starting from basic to high-level competition.
The first three (3) levels are complementary and correlative. Then there is the Professional Coach course, which is open and does not require having taken a previous course at the school.
